أول العيدينThe First of the Two Eids
في العيدين يجتمعان يجزئ أحدهما (من) (الآخر)If Jumu'ah and Eid fall on the same day, what is the ruling?
Hadith 5973
٥٩٧٣ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن نمير عن إسرائيل عن عثمان الثقفي عن (ابن) (١) أبي رملة الشامي قال: شهدت معاوية يسأل زيد بن أرقم هل شهدت مع رسول اللَّه ﷺ عيدين اجتمعا قال: نعم. قال: فكيف صنع؟ قال: صلى العيد ثم رخص في الجمعة قال: "من شاء أن يصلي فليصل" (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Abi Ramla says that I saw Hazrat Muawiyah ask Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) whether he had spent such a day with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in which Friday and Eid came on the same day. He replied, "Yes." Hazrat Muawiyah asked, "What was the practice of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on that day?" Hazrat Zaid replied, "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) led the Eid prayer and gave concession regarding the Friday prayer, and said that whoever wishes may perform it."
