Hadith 59
٥٩ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد اللَّه بن محمد بن عقيل عن الربيع بنت معوذ (بن عفراء) (١) قالت: أتانا رسول اللَّه ﷺ، فوضعنا له الميضأة، فتوضأ ثلاثًا ثلاثًا ومسح برأسه، بدأ بمؤخره (٢).
Hazrat Rubayyi' bint Mu'awwidh ibn 'Afra' (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to our house. We placed water for his ablution. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, washing each part three times, and then performed masah (wiping) of the head. He started the masah of the head from the back side.
