Hadith 5287
٥٢٨٧ - حدثنا علي بن مسهر (عن) (١) ليث عن طاوس قال: خطب رسول اللَّه ﷺ قائما وأبو بكر (قائما) (٢) (وعمر قائما) (٣) وعثمان قائمًا، وأول من جلس على المنبر معاوية بن أبي سفيان (٤).
Hazrat Tawoos narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him) delivered the sermon while standing, Hazrat Abu Bakr delivered the sermon while standing, Hazrat Uthman delivered the sermon while standing, and the first person to deliver the sermon while sitting was Hazrat Muawiyah.
