Hadith 52
٥٢ - حدثنا قبيصة بن عقبة عن حماد بن سلمة عن على بن زيد عن أبي عثمان قال: كنت مع (سلمان) (١)، فأخذ غصنا من شجرة يابسة فحته، ثم قال: سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول: "من توضأ، فأحسن الوضوء؛ تحاتت خطاياه كما يتحات الورق" (٢).
Hazrat Abu Uthman says that once I was with Hazrat Salman, he took hold of a dry branch of a tree, and its leaves began to fall. Then he said that I heard the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, say: When a person performs ablution properly, his sins fall away just as the leaves fall from a branch.
