من كم تؤتى الجمعةHow far must one travel to attend Jumu'ah?
Hadith 5174
٥١٧٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال حدثنا وكيع عن هشام بن عروة قال: أرسلت إلى عائشة ابنة سعد أسألها عن الجمعة فقالت: (كان) (١) سعد على رأس سبعة أميال أو ⦗٨٨⦘ ثمانية فكان (أحيانا) (٢) يأتيها وأحيانا لا يأتيها (٣).
Hazrat Hisham bin Urwah narrates that I sent a message to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), daughter of Saad, and asked how much distance must be traveled to attend Jumu'ah (Friday prayer)? She replied that Hazrat Saad used to travel seven or eight miles to attend Jumu'ah. Sometimes he would go, and sometimes he would not.
