Hadith 5099
٥٠٩٩ - حدثنا هشيم عن يحيى (بن) (١) سعيد عن (عمرة) (٢) بنت عبد الرحمن عن عائشة قالت: كان الناس يخدمون أنفسهم فكان أحدهم يروح بهيئته إلى الجمعة فقيل لهم: لو اغتسلتم (٣).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that people used to do their work and in the same condition would come for the Friday prayer, therefore they were commanded to perform ghusl (ritual bath) on the day of Friday.
