Hadith 5083
٥٠٨٣ - حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن مبارك عن الأوزاعي قال: حدثنا حسان (١) بن عطية قال: حدثنا (٢) أبو الأشعث قال: حدثني أوس بن أوس الثقفي قال: سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقول: "مَنْ غَسَلَ يَومَ الجمعةِ واغْتَسَلَ وَبَكرَ وابْتَكَرَ ومَشَى ولمْ يَرْكَبْ ⦗٦٨⦘ فَدَنَا مِنَ الإِمَامِ واسْتَمَعَ ولمْ يَلْغُ كَانَ لَهُ بِكُلِّ خطوَةٍ عَمَلُ سَنَةٍ أَجْرَ صِيَامِهَا وَقِيَامِهَا" (٣).
Hazrat Aws bin Aws Thaqafi narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever takes a bath on Friday, goes early to the prayer, walks and does not ride, sits near the Imam, listens to the sermon, and does not engage in any idle activity during the sermon, will be granted the reward of fasting and praying for one year for every step he takes.
