Hadith 40607
٤٠٦٠٧ - حدثنا وكيع عن إسماعيل عن قيس قال: كان مروان مع طلحة يوم الجمل، قال: فلما (اشتبكت) (١) الحرب (قال مروان) (٢): لا أطلب بثأري بعد اليوم، قال: ثم رماه بسهم فأصاب ركبته، فما رقأ الدم حتى مات، قال: وقال طلحة: دعوه، فإنما هو سهم أرسله اللَّه (٣).
It is narrated from Qais that Marwan was with Hazrat Talha on the day of the Battle of Jamal. When the battle had begun, Marwan said, "After today, I will not seek revenge," then he shot an arrow at him which struck Hazrat Talha in the knee, and blood continued to flow until he was martyred. Before his martyrdom, Hazrat Talha said, "Leave this wound; this is the arrow that Allah has sent."
