Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Muhammad bin Hanafiyyah that we were sitting in a group mentioning the shortcomings of Hazrat Uthman, and when we exceeded the limits, I turned towards Hazrat Abdullah ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) and said to him, "O Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both), do you remember the evening of the Battle of Jamal? I was on the right side of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and you were on the left side when we heard a scream from the direction of Madinah." Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said, "Yes, when so-and-so was sent to bring the news. Then he informed that Umm al-Mu'mineen Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) was standing in the camel enclosure cursing the killers of Uthman." Then Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "Curse be upon the killers of Uthman, whether they are in soft land or in the mountains, whether on dry land or in water." I was on the right side of Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and he was on the left side, so I and Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) heard this face to face. By Allah, I have never mentioned any fault of Hazrat Uthman till today.
