Hadith 40582
٤٠٥٨٢ - حدثنا يحيى بن آدم قال: حدثنا شريك عن (السدي) (١) عن عبد خير عن علي أنه قال يوم الجمل: لا تتبعوا مدبرا، ولا تجهزوا على جريح، ومن ألقى سلاحه فهو آمن (٢).
It is narrated from Abdu Khair that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said on the day of the Battle of Jamal: Do not pursue those who flee, do not kill the wounded, and whoever lays down his weapon is granted safety.
