Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Amr bin Murrah that I heard Suwaid bin Harith saying: On the day of the Battle of Jamal, we saw that our spears and their spears were so interlocked that if people wanted, they could walk over them. Some people were raising the slogan of "Allahu Akbar," and some were raising the slogan of "Subhan Allah, Allahu Akbar," and some people were saying, "There is no doubt in this. I wish I had not participated in this battle." And Abdullah bin Salamah used to say, "I do not find it good that I did not participate in the Battle of Jamal. I like to be present at every place where Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) is present."
