It is narrated from Umairah bin Sa’d that when Talha, Zubair, and their companions came, a man stood up from the middle of the gathering and said, “I am so-and-so, from the tribe of Banu Jusham.” Then he said, “These people (Talha, Zubair, and their companions) have come to you. If they have come out of fear, then they have come from a place where even a bird is safe (meaning Makkah). And if they have come because of the killing of Hazrat Uthman, then he was killed in their presence. My opinion about them is that their animals should be pricked so that they leave from here.”
