ما ذكر في عثمان ﵁On the Mention of Uthman (رضی اللہ عنہ)
Hadith 40509
٤٠٥٠٩ - حدثنا زيد بن (الحباب) (١) قال: (حدثني) (٢) العلاء بن المنهال قال: حدثني فلان قال: سمعت الزهري بالرصافة يقول: (واللَّه) (٣) لقد (نصح) (٤) عليٌّ و (صحح) (٥) في عثمان، لولا أنهم أصابوا الكتاب (لرجعوا) (٦).
Zuhri said at the place of Rasafah: By Allah, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) showed goodwill towards Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) and adopted obedience. If they (the rebels) had not known about the letter, they would not have returned to Madinah.
