في الرجل يعتمد على يديه في الصلاةCan a Person Use His Hands for Support When Rising from Salah?
Hadith 4042
٤٠٤٢ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن عبد الرحمن بن إسحاق عن زياد بن زيد (السوائي) (١) عن أبي جحيفة عن علي قال: إن من السنة في الصلاة المكتوبة إذا نهض الرجل في الركعتين (الأوليين) (٢) (أن) (٣) لا يعتمد بيديه على الأرض إلا أن يكون شيخا كبيرا لا يستطيع (٤).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) says that the Sunnah in obligatory prayers is that when a person stands up in the first two rak'ahs of the prayer, he should not use his hands to support himself on the ground. However, if someone is elderly and does not have the strength to stand up without support, then permission is granted for him.
