Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Abdullah bin Al-Harith Khuzai that I heard Hazrat Umar saying in his sermon: Last night (in a dream) I saw a rooster pecking at me, and I saw that people were driving it away from me. And I swear by God, if I remain alive, I will surely give two thousand grants to each of the general Muhajireen. But only three days had passed when Hazrat Umar was killed by Abu Lu’lu’, the slave of Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu’bah.
