Hadith 39778
٣٩٧٧٨ - حدثنا وكيع (حدثنا) (١) سفيان عن أبي بكر بن أبي الجهم بن (صخير) (٢) العدوي عن عبيد اللَّه بن عبد اللَّه بن (عتبة) (٣) عن ابن عباس قال: ⦗١٠٩⦘ صلى رسول اللَّه ﷺ صلاة الخوف بذي قرد أرض من (أرض) (٤) بني سليم، فصف الناس خلفه صفين: صف خلفه، وصف (موازي) (٥) العدو، فصلى بالصف الذي يليه ركعة، ثم نهض هؤلاء إلى مصاف هؤلاء، وهؤلاء إلى مصاف هؤلاء، فصلى بهم ركعة (٦).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the prayer of fear at the place of Dhi Qarad... in the region of Banu Sulaym... He led the prayer of fear. So the people formed two rows behind him. One row prayed (the first rak'ah) behind him, and one row stood facing the enemy. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the row that was with him in one rak'ah of prayer, then these people went to the place of the other row, and those people came to the place of these people, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led them also in one rak'ah.
