Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

It is narrated from Hazrat Sha’bi that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) received the news of the martyrdom of Hazrat Ja’far bin Abi Talib, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) left Hazrat Ja’far’s wife, Asma bint Umais, alone until she had wept and her grief was lessened. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) went to Hazrat Asma and offered her condolences, and he called for the sons of Hazrat Ja’far and prayed for them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed for Hazrat Abdullah bin Ja’far that there be blessing in his trade. Thus, whenever Abdullah bought anything, he would profit from it. Then Hazrat Asma said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), “O Messenger of Allah! These people think that we are not among the Muhajireen (emigrants).” The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “The people are wrong. You have migrated twice: once you migrated to the Negus (in Abyssinia), and once you migrated to me.”
