Hadith 39751
٣٩٧٥١ - حدثنا محمد بن عبيد قال: (حدثنا) (١) وائل بن داود قال: سمعت (البهي) (٢) يحدث أن عائشة كانت تقول: ما بعث رسولُ اللَّه ﷺ زيدَ بن حارثة (في ⦗٨٧⦘ جيش قط) (٣) إلا أمره عليهم ولو بقي بعده لاستخلفه (٤).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) used to say: The Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) never sent Zaid bin Harithah with any army except that he appointed him as the commander of that army. And if Zaid had remained after the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would have made him the caliph (as well).
