Hadith 39745
٣٩٧٤٥ - حدثنا (عبد اللَّه) (١) (بن نمير) (٢) قال: (حدثنا) (٣) محمد بن إسحاق عن عبد الرحمن بن القاسم عن أبيه عن عائشة قالت: لما أتت (وفاة) (٤) جعفر عرفنا في وجه رسول اللَّه ﷺ الحزن، قالت: فدخل عليه رجل فقال: يا رسول اللَّه إن النساء يبكين، قال: فارجع إليهن فأسكتهن، فإن (أبين) (٥) فاحث (في) (٦) وجوههن التراب، (قال) (٧): قالت عائشة: قلت في نفسي: واللَّه ما تركت نفسك ⦗٨٤⦘ ولا أنت مطيع رسول اللَّه (٨) (٩).
Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) received the news of the death of Hazrat Ja'far, we saw signs of grief on the blessed face of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: Then a man came to the service of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said, "O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! The women are crying." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Go back to them, make them quiet, and if they refuse, then throw dust in their mouths." The narrator says: Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) says: I said to myself, "You do not even spare yourself, nor do you carry out the command of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
