Hadith 39598
٣٩٥٩٨ - حدثنا يزيد بن هارون (أخبرنا) (١) هشام عن محمد قال: عاهد (٢) حيي (بن أخطب) (٣) رسول اللَّه ﷺ (أن لا) (٤) يظاهر عليه أحدا وجعل (اللَّه) (٥) عليه كفيلا، قال: فلما كان يوم قريظة أتي به وبابنه سلما، قال: فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "أُوفي (الكفيل) (٦) "، فأمر به فضربت عنقه وعنق ابنه (٧).
It is narrated from Muhammad that Huyayy bin Akhtab made a pact with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) on the condition that he would not help anyone against him, and for this he made Allah the guarantor. The narrator says: Then, when the day of Banu Qurayza came, he and his son were brought. The narrator says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Have they been brought in exchange for the guarantor? Then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave an order regarding him. Thus, he and his son were beheaded.
