Hadith 39444
٣٩٤٤٤ - حدثنا الفضل بن دكين قال: حدثنا يونس بن (أبي) (١) إسحاق عن العيزار بن حريث قال: نادى منادي رسول اللَّه ﷺ يوم بدر: ليس لأحد من القوم -يعني أمانا- إلا أبا البختري، فمن كان (أسره) (٢) فليخل سبيله، فإن رسول اللَّه ﷺ قد أمنه، فوجدوه قد قتل (٣).
Hazrat Iyzar bin Harith narrates that on the day of Badr, the announcer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) made a proclamation: None among the people (the polytheists) has safety except Abu al-Bukhtari. So whoever has captured Abu al-Bukhtari should release him, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has granted him protection. Then the people found him killed.
