Hadith 39443
٣٩٤٤٣ - حدثنا عبد الأعلى عن معمر عن الزهري أن أبا جهل هو الذي استفتح يوم بدر فقال: اللهم أينا كان أفجر بك وأقطع لرحمه فأحنه اليوم فأنزل اللَّه: ﴿إِنْ تَسْتَفْتِحُوا فَقَدْ جَاءَكُمُ (الْفَتْحُ) (١)﴾ (٢).
Narrated from Hazrat Zuhri: Abu Jahl was the one who demanded victory on the day of Badr and said: O Allah! Among us, whoever is more sinful and more one who severs ties of kinship, destroy him today (on the day of Badr). Upon this, Allah Almighty revealed these verses. {إِنْ تَسْتَفْتِحُوا ، فَقَدْ جَائَ کُمُ الْفَتْحُ }.
