It is narrated from Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Auf that on the day of Badr, I was standing in the row. I looked to my right and left and saw two young boys. I disliked their standing there. One of these boys secretly said to me from his companion, "O uncle! Please show me Abu Jahl." Abdur Rahman bin Auf says, I asked, "What do you want with him?" The boy replied, "I have vowed in the name of Allah that if I see him, I will kill him." Abdur Rahman bin Auf says, the other boy also secretly said to me from his companion, "O uncle! Please show me Abu Jahl." Abdur Rahman says, I asked, "What do you want with him?" This boy replied, "I have vowed in the name of Allah that if I see him, I will kill him." Abdur Rahman says, (upon hearing this) I did not like anyone else to be in their place. He says, I said, "That is Abu Jahl." He says, I pointed out Abu Jahl to both of them. So both of them rushed at him as if they were falcons. And both of them were the sons of Afraa. Until they killed Abu Jahl.
