Hadith 39385
٣٩٣٨٥ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن أبي هلال عن قتادة عن سعيد بن المسيب قال: قلت له: ما فرق ما بين المهاجرين الأولين والآخرين؟ قال: فرق ما بينهما القبلتان، فمن صلى مع رسول اللَّه ﷺ القبلتين فهو من المهاجرين الأولين.
Hazrat Qatadah narrates about Saeed bin Musayyib that I asked him: What is the distinguishing factor between the earlier emigrants and the later emigrants? He replied: The distinction between the two is the two Qiblahs. Thus, whoever performed prayer facing both Qiblahs along with the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) is among the earliest emigrants.
