أمر زيد بن حارثة ﵁The Story of Zaid ibn Harithah (رضی اللہ عنہ)
Hadith 39364
٣٩٣٦٤ - (حدثنا أبو بكر قال) (١): حدثنا أبو أسامة قال: (حدثنا) (٢) عبد الملك قال: (حدثنا) (٣) أبو فزارة قال: أبصر النبي ﷺ زيد بن حارثة (غلاما) (٤) ذا (ذؤابة) (٥) قد أوقفه قومه بالبطحاء يبيعونه، فأتى خديجة فقال: "رأيت غلاما بالبطحاء (قد) (٦) أوقفوه ليبيعوه ولو كان لي ثمنه لاشتريته"، قالت: وكم ثمنه؟ قال: "سبعمائة"، قالت: خذ سبعمائة واذهب فاشتره، فاشتراه فجاء به إليها قال: "أما إنه لو كان لي لأعتقته"، قالت: فهو لك فأعتقه (٧).
Hazrat Abu Fazarah narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw Hazrat Zaid bin Harithah in the state of a slave with long hair, while his people had made him stand in Batha to sell him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Hazrat Khadijah and said: I have seen a slave in Batha whom people have made to stand for sale. If I had his price, I would buy him. Hazrat Khadijah asked: What is his price? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Seven hundred. Hazrat Khadijah said: Take seven hundred and go buy him. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bought him and brought him to Hazrat Khadijah and said: The matter is that if he were mine, I would set him free. Hazrat Khadijah said: This slave is yours. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set him free.
