Hazrat Abu Maysarah narrates that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to an open place, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would hear a caller who would call out to him: "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)!" So when he (peace and blessings be upon him) heard this voice, he would begin to walk quickly. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Hazrat Khadijah and mentioned this matter to her and said: "O Khadijah! I fear that something has become confused in my mind. When I go out to an open place, I hear a caller, but I do not see anything, so I come running. Suddenly, that caller is with me and he is calling out to me." Hazrat Khadijah said: "Allah Almighty will not do such a thing to you. As much as I know you, you confirm the truth, fulfill trusts, and maintain ties of kinship. So Allah Almighty will not do such a thing to you." Hazrat Khadijah secretly mentioned this matter to Hazrat Abu Bakr. Abu Bakr was your (peace and blessings be upon him) friend in the time of ignorance. Hazrat Abu Bakr took your (peace and blessings be upon him) hand and brought you to Waraqah. Waraqah asked: "What is the matter?" You narrated all that Hazrat Khadijah had told you. Then you (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Waraqah and mentioned this incident. Waraqah asked: "Did you see anything?" You (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "No! But when I go outside, I hear a voice and I do not see anything, so I come running. Suddenly, that caller is with me." Waraqah said: "Do not do that. So when you hear the voice, stop until you hear what it says to you." Then when you (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to an open place, you (peace and blessings be upon him) heard a voice: "O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)!" You (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "I am present!" The caller said: "Say: I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is the servant and Messenger of Allah." Then the caller recited to you (peace and blessings be upon him) { الْحَمْدُ لِلَّہِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِینَ ، الرَّحْمَن الرَّحِیمِ ، مَالِکِ یَوْمِ الدِّینِ } up to the end of Surah Al-Fatiha. Then you (peace and blessings be upon him) came to Waraqah and mentioned this matter to him, so Waraqah said: "Glad tidings to you, then glad tidings to you, then glad tidings to you. I bear witness that you are indeed that Messenger whose glad tidings Isa gave. (He said:) A Messenger will come after me whose name will be Ahmad. So I bear witness that you are Ahmad, and I bear witness that you are Muhammad, and I bear witness that you are the Messenger of Allah. And it is near that you will be commanded to fight (jihad), and if you are commanded to fight and I am alive, then surely, surely I will fight alongside you (peace and blessings be upon him)." Then (after this) Waraqah passed away. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I saw this Christian scholar in Paradise wearing green garments."
