Hadith 39283
٣٩٢٨٣ - حدثنا وكيع عن شعبة عن الحكم عن بن أبي رافع أن النبي ﷺ بعث رجلا من بني مخزوم على الصدقة، فأراد أبو رافع أن يتبعه، فسأل النبي ﷺ فقال: "أما علمت أنا لا تحل لنا الصدقة، وأن مولى القوم من أنفسهم" (١).
Hazrat Abu Rafi narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a man from the Banu Makhzum to collect charity. Abu Rafi intended to go after him, so he asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do you not know that charity is not lawful for us, and indeed, the slave of a people is considered among them.
