Hadith 39229
٣٩٢٢٩ - حدثنا حاتم بن إسماعيل عن جعفر عن أبيه عن عبيد اللَّه بن أبي رافع قال: استخلف مروان أبا هريرة على المدينة وخرج إلى مكة، فصلى بنا أبو هريرة الجمعة فقرأ بسورة الجمعة في السجدة الأولى، وفي الآخرة: ﴿إِذَا جَاءَكَ الْمُنَافِقُونَ﴾، قال عبيد اللَّه: فأدركت أبا هريرة حين انصرف فقلت: إنك قرأت بسورتين فإن علي ﵀ يقرأ بهما في الكوفة، فقال أبو هريرة: إني سمعت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يقرأ بهما (١).
It is narrated from Abdullah bin Abu Rafi that Marwan appointed Abu Huraira as the governor in Medina and himself went towards Mecca. So Abu Huraira led us in the Friday prayer. In the first rak'ah, he recited Surah Jumu'ah, and in the second rak'ah, {إِذَا جَائَک الْمُنَافِقُونَ }. Ubaidullah says: When you finished the prayer, I went to Abu Huraira and said, "Indeed, today you have recited the same two surahs that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) used to recite in Kufa." Abu Huraira replied: "I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recite these two surahs."
