Hadith 39105
٣٩١٠٥ - حدثنا زيد بن (الحباب) (١) عن مالك بن أنس عن إسحاق بن عبد اللَّه ابن أبي طلحة الأنصاري عن حميدة ابنة (عبيد) (٢) بن (رافع) (٣) عن كبشة ابنة كعب وكانت تحت بعض ولد أبي قتادة أنها صبت لأبي قتادة ماء يتوضأ به، فجاءت هرة تشرب فأصغى لها الإناء فجعلنا ننظر فقال: يا (ابنة) (٤) أخي تعجبين، قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إنها ليست بنجس هي من الطوافين عليكم أو من الطوافات" (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Kabsha bint Ka'b, who was in the household of someone from the descendants of Abu Qatadah, that she poured water for Hazrat Abu Qatadah to perform ablution. A cat came and began to drink the water, so Abu Qatadah tilted the vessel for the cat. I began to watch, so he said: O niece! Are you surprised? The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The cat is not impure, because it is among those who frequently come and go among you.
