Hadith 39054
٣٩٠٥٤ - حدثنا ابن عيينة عن الزهري عن سعيد وحرام (بن سعد) (١) أن ناقة للبراء ابن عازب دخلت حائطا فأفسدت عليهم، فقضى النبي ﷺ أن حفظ الأموال على أهلها بالنهار، وأن على أهل الماشية ما أصابت الماشية بالليل (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Saeed and Haram bin Saad that the she-camel of Hazrat Bara bin Azib entered a garden and caused damage to those people. So the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) decided that during the day, the owners of the property are responsible for its protection, and at night, the owners of the animals are liable to pay for any damage caused by their animals.
