Hadith 39013
٣٩٠١٣ - حدثنا ابن عيينة عن عبد اللَّه بن دينار قال: ذهبت مع ابن عمر إلى بني معاوية فنبحت علينا كلاب فقال: (قال) (١) رسول اللَّه ﷺ: " (٢) من (اقتنى) (٣) كلبا إلا كلب ضارية أو ماشية نقص من أجره كل يوم قيراطان" (٤).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Dinar narrates that I went with Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) towards Bani Muawiyah. Then dogs started barking at us. Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever keeps a dog other than a hunting dog or a dog for guarding livestock, then two qirats will be deducted from that person's reward every day.
