Hadith 39
٣٩ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا الأعمش عن شمر عن شهر بن حوشب عن أبي أمامة قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إذا توضأ الرجل المسلم؛ خرجت ذنوبه من سمعه وبصره ويديه ورجليه، فإن جلس؛ جلس مغفورًا له" (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a Muslim person performs ablution, the sins depart from his ears, his eyes, his hands, and his feet, and when he sits for prayer, he sits in such a state that his sins have already been forgiven."
