Hadith 3898
٣٨٩٨ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا ابن علية عن علي بن زيد عن أبي نضرة عن عمران ابن حصين قال: أقمت مع النبي ﷺ عام الفتح بمكة فأقام ثماني عشرة (ليلة) (١) لا يصلي إلا ركعتين، ثم يقول لأهل البلد: "صلوا أربعا فإنا قوم سفر" (٢).
Hazrat Imran bin Husain narrates that I stayed in Makkah with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during the year of the conquest of Makkah. He stayed there for eighteen nights. During this time, he would lead the prayer in two rak'ahs and after concluding with salam, he would say to the people of Makkah: "Complete your four rak'ahs, for we are travelers."
