Hadith 38974
٣٨٩٧٤ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم التيمي عن أبيه قال: خطبنا علي فقال: من زعم أن عندنا شيئا نقرؤه إلا كتاب اللَّه وهذه الصحيفة (صحيفة) (١) فيها أسنان الإبل وأشياء من الجراحات (٢)، قال: وفيها قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "حرم ما بين عير إلى ثور" (٣).
Ibrahim Taimi narrates from his father that Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) delivered a sermon to us and said: Whoever thinks that we have anything which we read apart from the Book of Allah and this scroll—this scroll contained (rules about) the age of camels and some rulings about wounds—(then his assumption is incorrect). The narrator says that it also contained this statement: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Madinah is a sanctuary from the area of Air to the area of Thawr.
