Hadith 38954
٣٨٩٥٤ - حدثنا علي بن هاشم عن ابن أبي ليلى عن عطية عن أبي سعيد قال: نهى النبي ﷺ عن بيع الثمرة حتى يبدو صلاحها، قالوا: وما بدو صلاحها؟ قالت: تذهب عاهاتها ويخلص طيبها (١).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Sa'id that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of fruits before their ripening. The people asked, "What is the ripening of fruits?" He replied: When the afflictions of the fruits have ended and the fruit has become safe (i.e., when the usual time of afflictions has passed and the time of protection has begun).
