Hadith 38932
٣٨٩٣٢ - حدثنا عبدة عن ابن أبي عروبة عن سليمان الناجي عن أبي المتوكل عن أبي سعيد قال: جاء رجل وقد صلى النبي ﷺ قال: فقال (له) (١) (النبي) (٢) ﷺ: "أيكم يتجر على هذا؟ " قال: فقام رجل من القوم فصلى معه (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Saeed that a man came (to the mosque) while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had already performed the prayer: the narrator says: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Who among you will transact (the prayer) for him? The narrator says: then a man stood up and prayed along with the newcomer. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that: in this situation, do not perform the congregation (jama‘at) again.
