Hadith 38877
٣٨٨٧٧ - حدثنا شبابة بن سوار عن شعبة عن قتادة عن الحسن عن حطان بن عبد اللَّه عن عبادة بن الصامت عن النبي ﷺ قال: "خذوا عني، قد جعل اللَّه لهن سبيلا: البكر بالبكر، والثيب بالثيب، (البكر) (١) يجلد وينفى والثيب يجلد ويرجم" (٢).
Hazrat Ubadah bin Samit narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Take this (command) from me; indeed Allah Almighty has made a way for women. If an unmarried woman commits adultery with an unmarried man, and a married man commits adultery with a married woman, then the virgin (unmarried ones) are to be punished with lashes and exile, and the married ones are to be punished with lashes and stoning. And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that: exile will not be carried out.
