Hadith 38818
٣٨٨١٨ - حدثنا عباد عن حصين عن الشعبي قال: سمعت النعمان بن بشير يقول أعطاني أبي عطية فقالت أمي عمرة بنت رواحة: لا أرضى حتى تشهد النبي ﷺ قال: فأتى النبي ﷺ فقال: إني أعطيت ابني من عمرة عطية، فأمرتني أن أشهدك، قال: "أعطيت كل ولدك مثل هذا؟ " قال: لا، قال: "فاتقوا اللَّه واعدلوا بين أولادكم" (١).
Hazrat Sha'bi says that I heard Nu'man bin Bashir say that my father gave me a gift, so my mother, Umrah bint Rawahah, said: I will not be pleased (with this) until you make the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) a witness to it. Hazrat Nu'man says that (my father) went to the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have given a gift to my son from Umrah, and she has asked me to make you a witness to it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Have you given such a gift to each of your sons? He said: No! The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Fear Allah and be just among your children.
