Hadith 38816
٣٨٨١٦ - حدثنا ابن نمير وأبو أسامة عن (عبيد اللَّه) (١) بن عمر عن نافع عن ابن عمر أن النبي ﷺ نهى أن يسافر بالقرآن إلى أرض العدو مخافة أن يناله العدو (٢).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) forbade carrying the Holy Qur'an during travel towards enemy territory, out of fear that the enemy might seize it (and then disrespect it). And (Imam) Abu Hanifa's opinion has been mentioned that: there is no harm in it.
