ما قالوا: في البكاء من خشية اللهOn Weeping from the Fear of Allah
Hadith 38452
٣٨٤٥٢ - حدثنا (هشيم) (١) عن إسماعيل عن حبيب بن أبي ثابت أن ناسا من أصحاب النبي ﷺ قالوا: (يا رسول) (٢) اللَّه إنا نعمل أعمالا في السر فنسمع الناس يتحدثون بها فيعجبنا أن نذكر بخير؟ فقال: "لكم أجران: أجر السر وأجر العلانية" (٣).
Hazrat Habib bin Abi Thabit (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates that the noble companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "O Messenger of Allah, sometimes we do a good deed in secret, and then we hear people talking about it. We feel pleased when our good deed is mentioned among people. Is this acceptable?" The Prophet (peace be upon him) replied, "For you there are two rewards: one for the deed done in secret and one for it being mentioned openly."
