Hadith 38341
٣٨٣٤١ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن هشام عن أبيه قال: لقد استخلف عثمان وما (أزرهم) (١) إلا (البرود) (٢) وما أرديتهم إلا (النمار) (٣) كان أحدهم يقول لصاحبه: نمرتي خير من نمرتك (٤).
Hazrat Hisham, may Allah have mercy on him, narrates from his father that when Uthman, may Allah be pleased with him, became the caliph, people's waistbands used to be only sheets, and their shawls were also striped sheets. Among them, one would say to another that my sheet is better than your sheet.
