Hadith 38229
٣٨٢٢٩ - حدثنا عفان قال: حدثنا بكير بن أبي (السميط) (١) قال: حدثنا قتادة عن عبد اللَّه بن مطرف أنه كان يقول: إنك (لتلقى) (٢) الرجلين: أحدهما أكثر صوما وصلاة، والآخر أكرمهما على اللَّه بونا بعيدا، قالوا: وكيف يكون ذلك يا أبا جزء؟ قال: يكون أورعهما في محارمه.
Hazrat Abdullah bin Mutarrif says that you will see two people, one of whom performs more prayers and fasts, and the other is more honorable in the sight of Allah. People asked, "O Aba Juza, how can this be?" He replied, "He is the one who refrains more from the forbidden things."
