Hadith 38227
٣٨٢٢٧ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن عبد اللَّه بن مسلم عن سعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس في قوله (تعالى) (١): ﴿فَالْتَقَمَهُ الْحُوتُ﴾ [الصافات: ١٤٢]، قال: لما التقمه ذهب به حتى وضعه في الأرض السابعة، فسمع الأرض تسبح، قال: فهيجته على التسبيح فقال: ﴿لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا أنت سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ﴾ [الأنبياء: ٨٧]، قال: فأخرجه حتى (ألقاه) (٢) على الأرض بلا شعر ولا ظفر مثل الصبي المنفوس، فأنبت اللَّه عليه شجرة تظله، ويأكل من تحتها من حشرات الأرض، فبينما هو نائم تحتها (فتساقط) (٣) عليه ورقها قد يبست، فشكى ذلك إلى ربه، فقيل له: أتحزن على شجرة، ولا تحزن على مائة ألف أو يريدون (قد) (٤) يعذبون (٥).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says regarding the statement of Allah Almighty { فَالْتَقَمَہُ الْحُوتُ } that when the Prophet was swallowed by the fish, he was taken and placed in the seventh earth. There he heard the earth glorifying Allah. This inspired him to glorify Allah as well, so he began to say { لاَ إلَہَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَک إنِّی کُنْت مِنَ الظَّالِمِینَ }. Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the fish released the Prophet and placed him on the earth like a newborn child without hair or nails. Allah Almighty caused a tree to grow near him to provide shade. And he used to eat insects under that tree. Once, while he was sleeping in the shade of that tree, a leaf from the tree, which had dried up, fell down. The Prophet (peace be upon him) complained about this to his Lord, and he received the reply: "You are so saddened by a single tree, so why are you not saddened for one hundred thousand or more who are being punished?"
