Hadith 38222
٣٨٢٢٢ - حدثنا أبو أسامة عن (وهيب) (١) عن موسى بن عقبة قال: (سمعت) (٢) ابن محيريز ونحن معه بالرملة وهو يقول: أدركت الناس (وإذا) (٣) مات منهم الميت من المسلمين قالوا: الحمد للَّه (الذي) (٤) (توفى) (٥) فلانا على الإسلام، ثم انقطع ذلك فليس أحد اليوم يقول ذلك.
Hazrat Musa bin Uqbah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that we were in a sandy land when I heard Ibn Muhairiz (may Allah have mercy on him) saying, "I have seen those people that when a Muslim died, people used to say: 'All praise is due to Allah, Who granted so-and-so death upon Islam.' Then that era ended, and now no one says this anymore."
