Hadith 38186
٣٨١٨٦ - حدثنا ابن علية عن ليث عن مجاهد قال: ذهب العلماء (فما) (١) بقي إلا المتعلمون، ما المجتهد فيكم (اليوم) (٢) إلا كاللاعب فيمن كان قبلكم.
Hazrat Mujahid (may Allah have mercy on him) says that the scholars have perished and only students of knowledge remain. Among you today, one who strives is like one who used to play and amuse himself among the people of the past.
