Hadith 38119
٣٨١١٩ - حدثنا عباد عن عوف عن أبي المنهال أن أبا العالية رأى رجلا يتوضأ فلما فرغ قال: اللهم اجعلني من التوابين واجعلني من المتطهرين، فقال: إن الطهور (بالماء) (١) (حسن) (٢)، ولكنهم المطهرون من الذنوب.
Hazrat Abu Alia saw a man performing ablution. When he had completed his ablution, he said, "O Allah, make me among those who repent and make me among those who purify themselves." Upon hearing this, Hazrat Abu Alia said, "achieving purity through water is a good thing, but the real purification is to be purified from sins."
