٣٧٩٩٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن موسى بن عبيدة عن محمد بن كعب قال: إذا أراد (اللَّه) (١) (بعبد) (٢) خيرا فقهه في الدين، وزهده في الدنيا وبصره عيوبه، ومن أوتيهن فقد أوتي خير الدنيا والآخرة.
It is narrated from Hazrat Muhammad bin Ka'b that he says: When Allah Almighty intends good for a servant, He grants him understanding in religion, makes him disinterested in the world, and shows him his own faults. Whoever is given these things has been given the good of this world and the Hereafter.
