٣٧٩٦٢ - حدثنا أبو أسامة قال: أخبرني أبو الأشهب عن الحسن قال: لما عرض على آدم ذريته رأى فضل بعضهم على بعض فقال: رب لو سوّيت بينهم، قال: يا آدم إني أحب أن أشكر، يرى ذو الفضل فضله فيحمدني ويشكرني.
It is narrated from Hasan that he said: When the offspring of Hazrat Adam (peace be upon him) were presented before him, he saw that some of them were given superiority over others. So he submitted: O my Lord! If You had made them equal among themselves? It was said: O Adam! I like that My gratitude be expressed. When the one with superiority sees his superiority, he should praise Me and express gratitude to Me.
