٣٧٨٣٤ - حدثنا وكيع عن طلحة بن يحيى أن عمر بن عبد العزيز كان يبرد، قال: فحمل مولى له رجلا على البريد بغير إذنه، قال: فدعاه فقال: لا تبرح حتى تقومه ثم تجعله في بيت المال.
It is narrated from Hazrat Talha bin Yahya that Hazrat Umar bin Abdul Aziz used to send messengers. The narrator says: A freed slave of Hazrat Umar, without his permission, made a man ride on the postal horse. The narrator says: So he (Umar) called him and said: Remain as you are until you assess its value and then deposit it in the Bayt al-Mal (public treasury).
