٣٧٧٥٠ - [حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن خيثمة قال: كان قومه يؤذونه فقال: إن هؤلاء يؤذونني، ولا واللَّه ما طلبني أحد منهم (حاجة) (١) إلا قضيتها، ولا أُدخل على أحد منهم أذى (٢)، ولا أنا أبغض فيهم من الكلب الأسود، ولم ⦗٤٨٤⦘ (يرون) (٣) ذاك إلا أنه واللَّه ما يحب منافق مؤمنا أبدا] (٤).
Hazrat A’mash narrates regarding Hazrat Khaythamah, he says that his people used to trouble him. He said: These people trouble me even though such a thing has never happened. By God! Whenever any of them asked me for something, I fulfilled it for him. And I do not trouble any of them. But (still) I am more hated by them than a black dog. And why do these people think this way? But the fact is, by God, a hypocrite never loves a believer.
